AAF Affiliation

The American Advertising Federation (AAF) is a national organization empowered by 50,000 professionals in 220 professional advertising clubs, 220 college chapters and 110 corporations. At its Washington, D.C. headquarters and Western Region Office in San Francisco, AAF works to serve its members by advancing the broad interests of the adverting industry, including the freedom to truthfully advertise legal products. Through effective government relations, public and professional education, self-regulation programs, public service campaigns, and recognition of excellence in advertising, AAF achieves its mission to promote and protect the advertising industry.To effectively service its members' needs, AAF is geographically organized into 15 districts which operate as a link between AAF and its local members. The Advertising Club of Buffalo is within District 2, which includes New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware and the District of Columbia.AAF Works with its Advertising Clubs to:

  • Confront federal, state and local threats to advertising interests and freedoms through lobbying and briefings.
  • Educate members to the latest economic, governmental and business opportunities in advertising through programs and events.
  • Network solutions on common management issues through meetings.
  • Publish an annual directory called AAF National Directory of Clubs and Federations.
  • Influence the remedy of social concerns by providing resources for public service initiatives.
  • Access a wealthy resource of 7,000 top advertising students on over 220 college campuses who a prepared for qualified entrance into the advertising business.
  • Operate Local Advertising Review Programs to raise the credibility of advertising among local consumers by fostering high standards of ethical conduct.
