Newspaper veteran opens media company

West Seneca resident Joe Kirchmyer, a 25-year veteran of the Western New York communications industry, has opened Kirchmyer Media. The West Seneca-based company will assist clients with all of their communications needs, from marketing and advertising to promotions and public relations.

Services provided by Kirchmyer Media will include copywriting, graphic design, photography, event planning, media relations and proofreading. Specialties include in-depth articles for print publications, newsletters and websites; press releases and media placement; creation of advertising campaigns, flyers and brochures; and resumes for displaced employees.

Prior to opening his media company, Kirchmyer worked for The Buffalo News for 20 years, most recently as senior creative services manager. Previously, he worked in marketing for Goldome Realty Credit Corp. and as a reporter and editor for several weekly newspapers. He is a graduate of Buffalo State College where he earned a bachelor's degree in journalism.
